Introduction

IC Markets was founded in Sydney in 2007 and became one of the go-to brokers for scalpers, algorithmic traders and anyone who wants raw interbank-style pricing. In 2026 it shortened its name to IC and moved its website to ic.com. According to the company and independent reviewers, licenses, account types and trading conditions stayed the same.

This review covers IC’s costs, platforms, regulation and who it suits, based on independent reviews updated between July and October 2026.

History of IC Markets

IC Markets launched in 2007 and built its reputation on true raw spreads and deep liquidity, which made it a favorite with high-volume and automated traders. It added a CySEC-regulated EU entity and a Seychelles entity for international clients, alongside its Australian ASIC license.

The shift to the IC brand began in late 2025, became visible through a Formula 1 sponsorship with the Haas team, and was completed when the website moved to ic.com in July 2026.

Where does IC Markets Operate

  • Australia: International Capital Markets Pty Ltd, regulated by ASIC
  • EU: IC Markets (EU) Ltd, regulated by CySEC
  • Most other countries: Raw Trading Ltd, regulated by the Financial Services Authority of the Seychelles

Most international clients default to the Seychelles entity. That brings much higher leverage and lighter oversight than the Australian or EU companies.

Investment Offering

  • Forex: 61 currency pairs
  • Share CFDs: over 2,100, on MetaTrader 5
  • Indices: around 25
  • Commodities: about 22 CFDs on energies, metals and agriculture
  • Bonds: about 9
  • Crypto CFDs: a large selection, available depending on entity
  • Futures CFDs: a small number

MetaTrader 4 and cTrader carry fewer share CFDs than MT5.

Trading Platforms

  • MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5: the most popular choice at IC, with FX Blue advanced trading tools available
  • cTrader: a favorite of scalpers for its depth of market and fast order handling
  • TradingView: trade directly from TradingView charts

IC is built for active and automated trading, with Expert Advisors, cBots and VPS hosting options.

IC Markets Account Types

  • Standard: spread only, from about 0.8 pips on EUR/USD and other majors.
  • Raw Spread: spreads averaging around 0.1 pips on EUR/USD, plus a commission of $3.50 per lot per side on USD accounts (A$4.50, £2.75 or €3.25 for other base currencies).
  • Islamic: swap-free versions are available.

There is no fixed minimum deposit, though IC suggests depositing at least $200 when you open an account. Demo accounts expire after 30 days of inactivity.

Accepted Countries

IC accepts clients from most countries. Australian residents are served by the ASIC entity and EU residents by the CySEC entity, both with 1:30 leverage caps on major pairs for retail clients. Most other clients are placed with the Seychelles entity, where independent reviewers report leverage running into the thousands to one on some instruments. Choose a leverage level well below the maximum.

Copy Trading Features

IC supports copy trading mainly through ZuluTrade, a third-party network of signal providers that connects to your account. Traders using MetaTrader can also use the MetaTrader Signals market. IC does not have its own social trading app like eToro.

Deposit & Withdrawals

IC does not charge deposit fees. Cards, PayPal, Skrill, Neteller and crypto deposits are usually instant, while bank wires take two to five business days. Local options such as Klarna, UnionPay and Thai and Vietnamese internet banking are available in some regions.

PayPal, Skrill and Neteller withdrawals are usually instant once processed, domestic wires take about one working day and card withdrawals three to five. Some banks charge around A$20 for international transfers. A small number of users report delays on large withdrawals during compliance checks, so complete your verification early.

IC Markets Spread and Commissions

  • Raw Spread: about 0.1 pips on EUR/USD on average, plus $3.50 per lot per side ($7 round trip) on USD accounts
  • Standard: from about 0.8 pips on EUR/USD, no commission

For active traders, the Raw Spread account puts IC among the cheapest brokers in the world, roughly level with Pepperstone’s Razor account.

IC Markets Fees and Costs

  • Inactivity fee: none
  • Deposits: free from IC’s side
  • Withdrawals: usually free from IC, though banks may charge for international wires
  • Swaps: charged on overnight positions unless you use a swap-free account

Unique Features

  • Deep liquidity and fast execution: IC is known for raw pricing and quick fills, which matters most for scalpers and automated traders.
  • Four platforms: MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, cTrader and TradingView under one broker.
  • Large share CFD list on MT5: over 2,100 companies.
